Planning Green’s Future at Public Visioning Event, October 11 at MAPS Air Museum
GREEN, OH – The City of Green Planning Department and the Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee invite you to the Public Visioning Open House on Wednesday, October 11 at MAPS Air Museum, 2260 International Pkwy, from 6 pm to 8 pm. Help influence what the City of Green could look like in the next 10+ years by sharing your thoughts and ideas. Admission to the museum is free during the event.
This event features 8 stations related to key planning elements such as Housing, Economic Development, Transportation, and the Arts. At the event, residents may ask questions, view ideas and photos, and share feedback. Residents will also be able to visit an Interactive Art Visioning Table, featuring the new City of Green Community Activity Book, a fun, interactive way to provide visual feedback. This collaborative book, created in collaboration with Art X Love, is designed for all ages and abilities, this initiative celebrates local identity and provides opportunities for residents to inform, guide and be part of future initiatives for the City of Green.
“This event is all about engaging the residents and developing a vision for the future of Green,” says Kevin White, planner for the City of Green. “This feedback will guide the Comprehensive Plan and its respective recommendations. That is why it's imperative we hear from as many residents as we can to ensure that the future Green aligns with our community's values.”
In addition to light refreshments, the MAPS Air Museum will be open to explore during this time.
Purpose of the Comprehensive Plan
A comprehensive plan is a long-term strategic document that guides the physical, economic, social, and environmental development of a community. It is a blueprint that outlines the goals, objectives, and future policies for the community. The final product should represent the community’s vision and include a list of recommendations to achieve that vision.
