Fourth Annual Parker’s Trail Challenge starting September 1
GREEN, OH – Calling all explorers and nature enthusiasts! The City of Green announces the fourth annual Parker’s Trail Challenge starting September 1 through October 31. Parker's Trail Challenge is the City's fall walking/hiking spree, which encourages residents and nonresidents to visit designated trails or paths located in the City of Green.
Participants can earn rewards by completing the nine predetermined challenge trails. Selected trails are well maintained, easily accessible, and range from .5 miles to 3.1 miles in length.
This year’s challenge trails are Boettler Park Walking Trail; Southgate Park’s Mindful Walk, Deer Run Loop, Horseshoe Trail, and Bluebird Trail; Central Park Walking Path; Knapp Recreation Area Trail; Nimisila Reservoir Trail; and The Chapel Walking Trail.
First-time participants who complete the challenge before October 31 will receive a hiking backpack and a challenge completion patch. Participants who complete the challenge yearly will receive the 2023 Parker’s Trail Challenge patch. Backpacks are free to residents but limited to one per family; nonresidents are $25. Any additional backpacks may be purchased for $25 each.
