City of Green Honors Bob Bussey Jr. as Volunteer of the Year at Annual Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast
GREEN, Ohio – Mayor Gerard Neugebauer and the City of Green honored Bob Bussey Jr. as the Volunteer of the Year at the annual Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast on Saturday, November 5. The annual breakfast is held to recognize and thank all City of Green volunteers who have donated a minimum of two hours of service to the City within the past year.
Following breakfast, Mayor Gerard Neugebauer honored Bob Bussey Jr, a Green resident. Bob is one of Green’s first Park Ambassadors and volunteers on an ongoing basis. Bob has a long history of volunteering in our greater community over the past 25 years. In addition to Green Parks, he is a long-time volunteer for a variety of organizations including The Chapel in University Park, the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Haven of Rest, and Summit Metroparks.
Each year more than 350 volunteers offer their time and service to our Green community. Volunteers included individuals, groups, and those who serve on City boards, commissions, and task forces. Approximately 50 volunteers attended the annual Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast.
