Announcing the Student Municipal Representative Class of 2022-2023

GREEN, Ohio – Mayor Gerard Neugebauer is pleased to announce the City of Green’s 2022-2023 Class of Student Municipal Representatives. Thirty Green high school students will serve as non-voting members on boards and commissions September through May 2023.

The City of Green Student Municipal Representative Program (SMRP) was created in 2016 under the direction of Mayor Gerard Neugebauer with an inaugural class of 11 students.  Now in its 7th year, the SMRP has appointed more than 70 students grades 10 through 12 to work and learn alongside city board and commission members.

This program seeks to encourage civic responsibility and volunteerism while providing hands-on experience in local government. This year’s members include:

Board of Zoning Appeals:

GHS Juniors; Camden Doerrer, Morgan Doan, Edgar San Jose 

City Council:

GHS Seniors; Chase Borland, Jackson Hall, Aaryan Qureshi, Grant Kuwatch 

Civil Service Commission:

GHS Juniors; Carter Sharpnack, Liam Short 

Design Review Board:

GHS Seniors; Natalie Brandenburg, Brady Rychlik, and GHS Junior; Shawn Fisk 

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion:

GHS Senior; Juliana Garza and GHS Junior; Sophia Logsdon 

Drug Task Force:

GHS Juniors Adrianna Barnes, Elliana Edwards, and GHS Seniors; Eric Wolford and Connor Memmer 

Historic Preservation Commission:

GHS Juniors; Sophia Mangon, Kristin Groen, Ella Hale 

Living Green Task Force:

GHS Sophomores; Maybree Garrott, Meredith Walker, and GHS Junior; Addyson Padgett 

Parks & Recreation Board:

Planning & Zoning Commission:
