GREEN, OH – The City of Green’s Great Eight Race Series begins this spring, with races from May through November. The Great Eight Race Series joins together eight 5K races in Green that benefit local non-profits. Registration is required for the individual races.

First Race: Green Schools Foundation Run for Education
The Great Eight Series starts with the Green Schools Foundation “Run for Education” on May 7. The first of the eight races is an evening glow-themed race at Green Memorial Stadium. The one-mile race starts at 8:30 pm and the 5K starts at 9:00 pm. The race is family-friendly and benefit the Green Schools Foundation.

- Bulldog Dash, Bulldog Dash 5K, 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk and 200m Youth Run – October 2
- Akron-Canton Airport, CAK 5K on the Runway – October 8
- Rayl Charitable Organization, HalloWin 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk – October 22
- Green Professional Organization, Turkey Trot 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk – November 24
Many of the races include a one-mile race or walking options.
Participants who run in in five or more races will receive a Green Great Eight Race Series sweatshirt! In 2021, more than 3,500 runners participated in the Great 8 Eight Race series raising just under $115,000.
