Fall Recreation Programming for Youth, Adults, and Seniors
GREEN, Ohio – The City of Green offers a range of recreational programming throughout the year. Fall programming is available for all ages and features activities such as dance classes, First Tee, SilverSneakers, and more.
Archery classes are available as Quick Start Archery, Beginner Youth Archery, Intermediate Youth Archery, Advanced Youth Archery, Adaptive Youth Archery, and Home School Youth Archery. Fall programs run through the end of September. Registration is currently closed and will reopen for Spring 2022 sessions. Learn more here.
Line dancing is great fun and great exercise for your entire body! The class offers easy-to-learn line dances that will progress into more challenging dances and movements. Be the hit of your next social event by busting a move on the dance floor! Session 1 runs September 14 – October 12. Session 2 runs October 19 – November 16. $45 per participant per session. Sitting on the sidelines when the music starts and not up on the dance floor? Dancing is one of the best ways to exercise, and enjoyable to all. Our Ballroom/Social Dancing class will cover the basic steps that will have you out on the floor and the envy of others. Learn the basic steps of the fox trot, waltz, cha cha, and swing, and put them to use at the next wedding, party, or social gathering. Session 1 runs September 14 – October 12. First Tee is a youth development organization that enables kids to build the strength of character that empowers them through a lifetime of new challenges. By seamlessly integrating the game of golf with a life skills curriculum, we create active learning experiences that build inner strength, self-confidence and resilience that kids can carry to everything they do. The City of Green is pleased to partner with the Green YMCA to offer six senior fitness classes weekly through SilverSneakers at the John Torok Senior Center, 4224 Massillon Rd. Classes are geared for adults age 50+. Classes are free to attend. No registration required. See full class schedule here.
