New Disc Golf Course Unveiled at Boettler Park
Free Disc Golf Clinic August 7

GREEN, Ohio – The new 9-hole disc golf course at Boettler Park, 5300 Massillon Road, is now open and ready for play. Players new to the game are welcome to attend a free Disc Golf Clinic at the course taught by Summit County Disc Golf Association instructors Saturday, August 7.

About the course:

Boettler Park’s new 9-hole disc golf course is a beginner friendly par 36 course with gentle slopes and light foliage. Relocated from neighboring Southgate Park, the newly constructed course was designed and constructed by Bill Griffith, a Certified Disc Golf Course Designer, and volunteers from the Summit Disc Golf Association to be more inviting and easier to navigate. An information kiosk, built by students at the Portage Lakes Career Center, has been constructed behind the lower restroom building and displays a course map and scorecards.

Disc Golf Clinic:

Players of all abilities and ages are invited to attend a free open house style Disc Golf Clinic on Saturday, August 7 at the Boettler Park Disc Golf Course. Stop by and stay for any length of time 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Instructors from the Summit County Disc Golf Association will teach the basics of the sport, how to throw a disc, and game strategies.
