The Engineer’s office investigated several intersection improvement options and a roundabout was determined to be the best solution. The proposed roundabout would include full depth pavement reconstruction, street lights, circle island landscaping and pedestrian improvements. The project is currently in early design stage. Federal Funds will cover 80% if the estimated $3.375 million construction cost.
Construction is scheduled to begin in early 2023 and be substantially complete by December 2023. Access to all businesses and properties will be maintained during construction. Temporary lane and /or intersection closures will occur, but the duration of such closures will be kept to a minimum and the necessary detours will be posted.
We invite the public to submit any comments, questions, and suggestions to the Stark County Engineer’s Office by mail, or phone (330) 477-6781 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
