2nd Annual Raintree 5K Planned for July 4

The City of Green is hosting our second annual Raintree 5K and Fun Run on Saturday, July 4 at Raintree Golf and Event Center. Social distancing measures and staggered race start times will be in place. 5K race is $25/runner. Fun Run is $8/person.

Proceeds from the race will benefit The First Tee of Greater Akron.

Tax Drop Box

City Income Taxes Due July 15

The City of Green Income taxes are due Wednesday, July 15. Taxes may be e-filed, mailed to P.O. Box 460, Green, Ohio 44232 or dropped off in our income tax drop box located to the left of the Central Administration Building’s main doors, 1755 Town Park Blvd. Questions or assistance needed? Contact our income tax office Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at 330-896-6622. If you need an appointment, please call to schedule.

Green Together Accepting Donations to the Citywide COVID-19 Community Support Fund

Green Together is the City’s initiative to help residents and businesses through the COVID-19 crisis. The City has teamed up with the Green Area Chamber to accept donations to the COVID-19 Community Support Fund. Funds will be granted to local not-for-profits to serve those in need in Green.

Fix-It Funds Home Improvement Loan Program Available to Summit County Homeowners

Summit County Fiscal Office is pleased to introduce the Fix-It Funds Home Improvement Loan Program to benefit the homeowners of Summit County. Qualifying homeowners can apply for low interest, fixed rate loans through Westfield Bank to fund large and small home improvement projects. Loan amounts can range from $5,000 to $50,000 and interest rates are up to 2% below the Bank’s current rate.

Homeowners must submit a completed application with parcel information and project details. A limited amount of funding is available and loans will be approved and funded on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications for the Fix-It Funds Home Improvement Loan Program can be downloaded from the Fiscal Office’s website at http://FiscalOffice.summitoh.net.
