COVID-19 Vaccine Information

The State of Ohio is working with county health departments to distribute the COVID-19 vaccine using a phased approach.  Members of each phase will be provided an opportunity to receive a vaccine if they choose to receive it.

The first phase, Phase 1A, includes health care workers and personnel, nursing homes residents and staff, assisted living facilities residents and staff, psychiatric hospital patients and staff, people with developmental disabilities and those with mental illness who live in group homes or centers and staff at those locations, Ohio veterans' homes residents and staff, and EMS responders.

Phase 1B will include individuals who are 65 years or older or those living with severe congenital, developmental, or early-onset medical disorders.  Also included in this group will be adults working in schools.

Currently, there is not a vaccine distribution plan available for the general public. This information will be updated as the distribution policies change.

As with all medical concerns, contact your primary health care provider for more information.
