The City contracts with CodeRED for Green Alert emergency alerting of severe weather, emergencies and critical community communications via text or phone call. 

To ensure you receive the information you need in the event of an emergency, Fire Chief Jeff Funai requests that all residents take 2 minutes to enroll with CodeREDGreen Alert

General Notifications

The City has several communication tools for residents to stay up-to-date with the happenings in Green.  

Our Town Newsletter

This publication is printed and mailed to households in Green three times a year. 

Text Messages

Registering for our Green Alert system to also receive critical non-emergency communications through text messaging.  Text GREENOH to 99411.

Receive alerts by text, email or phone for sports field closures and notifications using CodeRED. Register here.

Terms and Conditions: When enrolling by TTE (Text to Enroll), you will text “GREENOH” to 99411*. You’ll receive a link on your mobile device that you can click to enroll to receive alerts. You will only receive this text once when you’re initiating enrollment. Note: keywords are not case sensitive.

Stop: If you don’t want to receive any notifications from 99411, you’ll need to text Stop to 99411*.
