In partnership with Cleveland Clinic Akron General Lifestyles, Green Parks and Recreation is proud to offer adult Yoga-in-the-Park! Join Lifestyles instructors for these free yoga classes all summer long! Please bring a yoga mat and water!
WHEN: Wednesdays and Saturdays mornings beginning June 7 through September 16 (no class Saturday, July 2)

COREFIT is 45-minute, full-body strength and cardio conditioning workout, lead by ACE Personal and Group Trainer Cory Kessler. This class is appropriate for all levels and no experience is necessary. All are welcome!

In partnership with certified instructor Ralph Lorenz, Green Parks and Recreation is proud to offer Tai Chi. A form of Chinese martial arts popular for its health benefits, it is a slow and graceful form of exercise that can be done anywhere, at any time. There are many different styles of Tai Chi, but the basic moves share common principles.
Tai Chi is a great way to stay active, improve your flexibility, and build your endurance. It is also a great way to relieve stress and improve your mental health. Some of the health benefits of Tai Chi include reducing risk of stroke, heart disease and injury as well as improving circulation and balance.
Tai Chi can help you connect with your inner self and the surrounding environment. It can also help you develop concentration and mindfulness.
If you are looking for a physical activity that is gentle on your body and can help you relax and improve your mood, Tai Chi is the perfect option for you. It is a great way to get started on your fitness journey and can be used by both beginners and experienced exercisers.

In partnership with certified instructor Ralph Lorenz, Green Parks and Recreation is proud to offer Qigong (pronounced chee-gong). A form of Chinese physical exercise and meditation often seen as a potent preventive and healing tool, it is comprised of simple breathing and movement exercises. The word “qigong” refers to the building up of our intrinsic life energy.
Qigong is believed to promote healthy circulation, balance, and harmony in the body and mind. Some of the key benefits of qigong include increased flexibility and range of motion, improved breathing and circulation, reduced stress and anxiety, improved balance and coordination, and increased strength, stamina, and endurance
If you're looking to improve your overall well-being, qigong is a great place to start!
